Our club began in 2003 as the Globetrotters Futsal Club where we earned a reputation of being one of the best training groups in the country. This year we changed the name to Ginga FC because the meaning symbolizes what we are about more effectively. Ginga, is the word used in Brazil to describe the way they move, think and perform in all aspects of life. More specifically it is an almost undefinable style of movement and attitude. Led by Head Coaching Director, Jason Griggs the club has won several State, Regional, and National Championships. However, much more pride is held by the clubs hand in developing some of the nations top outdoor soccer players through Winter and Summer futsal training. Several players that have come through our club have gone on to win United States Youth Soccer Association State Cups, Regionals, and National Championships. In addition, several players have made State, Regional, and National teams with US Soccer. The most recent success story is that of the Baltimore Bays Ginga (U11 Girls team). The team began with a group of girls nobody else wanted. The team was taken on by Coach Jason Griggs and after 2 months of summer futsal, the team went on to go undefeated in the A division of the BBSL and is now ranked in the top 5 in Maryland. The teams foot skills and increased speed of play was brought on by the intense Futsal training they did over the Summer. Our Ginga family grows every year due to our ability to bring kids from all different walks of life together for the good of the game.
Always play with Passion and Pride!
Go Ginga! |
